Create, Chat, Eat
Delivering arts and well-being workshops in Taunton by offering a regular programme of creative workshops, covering a range of art forms, from printmaking to drumming and percussion, where young people between ages 13 and 19 can meet, create, talk and share food.
In response to the crisis in mental health and well-being amongst young people in Somerset, State of Trust have been delivering arts and well-being workshops in Taunton in partnership with The One Team, North Taunton and with Mind Somerset’s youth department, Youth Matters.
The project was delivered at after school sessions at Taunton Academy and at North Taunton Youth Centre. State of Trust now offers a regular programme of creative workshops, covering a range of art forms, from printmaking to drumming and percussion, where young people between ages 13 and 19 can meet, create, talk and share food.
In partnership with CICCIC (Creative Innovation Centre) in Taunton, and MIND Somerset, we aim to set up a permanent youth arts and well-being hub, where young people can meet on a weekly basis throughout the year.
This initiative has been funded by National Lottery Community Fund.
