GoCreate Taunton is a Community Interest Company (CIC) that was set up in 2014 by a group of creative practitioners living or working in Taunton. GoCreate was formed at a time when the arts and culture had been cut by the government budget and collective feelings were to make the arts more visible and accessible to ALL. The members wanted to work together to create Art events including an annual Arts Festival… hence Taunton Live Arts Festival was born.
ALL people involved in the arts in any way are welcome to join us!
Our members represent areas as diverse as Music, the Visual Arts, Performance, Photography, Film, 3D Design, Ceramics, Writing and Poetry, Teaching, Architecture, Publishing, Graphic Design,Graffiti, Advertising and more.

GoCreate Membership costs £20 a year, for this you have a profile on our website GoCreate.org.uk and social media promotion of your work. You also benefit from free exhibitions, opportunities to be involved in Taunton Live Arts festival and many other creative events.
Our Aims
- To promote our members interests and gain exposure for them.
- To create an arts festival that will put Taunton Deane on the map and bring much needed income to the area.
- To provide a support network for emerging and established artists in the Taunton Deane area.
- To celebrate and raise the awareness of creativity in all its genres in Taunton Deane.
- To encourage, involve and educate the community at large about the range of creativity existing in the area.
- To collaborate with other arts groups and organisations in the area.
- To pool resources and strengths and provide a database of skills.
- To seek out opportunities for it’s members and disseminate this information.
- To organise and hold joint exhibitions and other events as appropriate.
- To support the cause of the arts.
